Style Sophomore x Superego Select Shop x James Bent

We did a mini 3 outfit shoot last night with some pieces that we were kindly provided by Superego, a  neat little select shop in Taipei. It was lots of fun shooting around East Section at night, against cool graffiti backdrops, wearing these colourful prints (that I wouldn't usually wear but then I realize I need to wear more of), sticking our flash new stickers around the place, and also doing some filming of the shooting behind-the-scenes which you can see here on youtube.

Here are the final shots :)

Anna, Tokyo

Our share house in Tokyo was literally just a few steps around the corner from where I took this photo in Harajuku. Brings back so many great memories of our first winter in Tokyo which was mostly spent ducking outside to get photographs but then quickly ending up back in our room with the heating on full blast, kettle on a constant boil, and sipping copious amounts of hot green tea. We were right in the middle of Harajuku and we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. Can't wait to return for another 3 month stint in Tokyo later this year!

Also, coming up I have photos and a short video from a little shoot I did yesterday with James. Will post it up soon! Happy Friday everyone!

Behind The Scenes: James Bent Photography x Winnie Chen Millinery

A few behind-the-scenes shots that I took from a shoot James did at the Weekend. We converted our little apartment into a makeshift photography studio and it was a long but fun afternoon with some amazing results. Hair and make up by Brian Lee, hats by Winnie Chen Millinery, and modeling was the lovely Tequilas Shih. You can check out the final images from the shoot here :)

Norelle, Taipei

Norelle - student, wearing Dresscode coat, Alexander Wang scarf, Repetto  shoes, 3.1 Phillip Lim bag

I shot Norelle in this outfit for Nylon Japan and it has just recently featured in their Worldsnap section. I love the wintery colors, the earthy feel and the different textures combined with hints of silver and gold metallics. For detail shots of this outfit along with more photos from Taipei and other cities around the globe, visit Nylon.jp :)

Wellington Street, Hong Kong

From the Hong Kong archives, I think this picture captures quite nicely the things I associate most with Hong Kong. Long, hilly, narrow back streets, lined with restaurants, shops, neon signs, tall buildings, and people and cars as far as you can see. Not a place I can see myself living in for longer than a week without feeling claustrophobic, but I definitely will be back for the shopping and of course the food!

Style Sophomore x James Bent

It's been awhile between outfit posts (I can make up so many excuses for me not getting in front of the camera lately) but I'm so happy to share this with you! These are some shots from a mini shoot I did with James last night in our apartment in Taipei. I'm wearing a few of my favorite black and white basics that are perfect for this transitional kind of weather, along with my new Rebecca Minkoff python embossed Kiss Kiss bag that I'm so totally in love with! We hope to have a lot more shoots like this coming up. Enjoy and have a great week :)
